Discussing 4×4 Canopies

I’m really excited! I’m starting a mixed netball team which I think will be a lot of fun. The only foreseeable issue is that everyone has different schedules and I can definitely tell that there will be times when we don’t have enough players to field a team. That will be difficult to coordinate. We have so many different types of people who will be playing in the team. We have a paramedic, a nurse, a teacher, several tradies and people working in other professions. I can just imagine it now – all of us arriving at the car park just minutes before our game. The tradies complimenting each other’s 4×4 aluminium canopies, the healthcare workers discussing the trials and tribulations of their hard day at work. And me, just happy to be there surrounded by the people I love most!

I’m so happy at the thought of the team and I can’t wait for our first game of the season. I hope that everyone else is as excited as I am, because having really good team spirit is half of the battle when it comes to performing well on the court. You don’t even need to know the rules of netball (I certainly don’t), you just have to show up every week with a good attitude and a friendly demeanour!

Maybe in our first week before our first game we can all sit in one of the tradies ute trays, installed in Melbourne, and discuss our game plan. We might even be able to come up with a plan for the entire season, and discuss where we want to be once the season ends. It’ll be like key performance indicators but for the netball court. How funny! I seriously can’t wait!

After our first season, I’ll update you all and let you know how it went. I’m expecting big things and I’m sure my team of best friends will deliver.
